Focus on fashion: Step through the camera lens into our first photoshoot
Time flies. The easiest way to hold on to it is by capturing as many moments as you can in photos. In the world of fashion, a picture is not only worth a thousand words, it’s our only way of communicating our ideas and quality to loyal customers like you. With the exploding popularity of our latest collections, we found ourselves taking a walk down memory lane and realizing just how far we’ve come from our first photoshoot. So we thought we’d give you a sneak peek into the much-hyped glam-filled fashion photoshoot.
How, when and where
A year ago, when we were still a little-known fashion brand struggling to find our footing in the big bad world of online fashion, we knew that the first step in bringing our cool collections to our customers was a good fashion shoot to showcase our goods. So on 10th May 2015, on a bright day in Pune, we transformed a simple everyday living room in a friend’s house into a happening activity-filled studio buzzing with enthusiasm and the clicking of cameras. Our photographer Arjun helped us set up the studio lights, background screen and room layout. Ganesh and Swapnil were our very first models, and they were just as excited as we were. With everything in place, we were all set to shoot.
Lights, camera, action!
The shoot began as we laid out our collection piece by piece for the models. Against a white backdrop, the two enthusiastic young guys patiently went through a variety of poses and outfits, sometimes standing and at other times sitting. We didn’t skimp on the accessories either. Sexy eyeshades, a cool-looking guitar, hats of various designs and several combinations of shoes and trousers became as integral to the shoot as the camera itself.
Six hours later…
Many t shirts, hoodies, smiles and poses later, we were finally done with our first photoshoot. But that was only the beginning. The white background would later have to be edited to convert it into a more appealing background. The digital cleaning is an entire process in itself, not to mention the post-shoot website content updates. However, the fit of the shirts themselves always remained untouched, because that is always the very essence of every one of our shoots.
